Quote files and pasted text

PDFs, images and pasted quote text are read and analyzed on your device. VowLedger does not upload or save the file, extracted quote text, detected prices or comparison result. Closing or refreshing the page clears the current scan.

Venue and location searches

Location matching runs in your browser against VowLedger’s own U.S. venue directory. Typed locations and device coordinates are not sent to an outside geocoding provider. Device location is used only after you choose “Use my location” and grant browser permission.

Your browser also stores successful location lookups locally for up to 30 days. This cache remains on your device and can be removed through your browser’s site-data controls. VowLedger does not intentionally log typed locations or precise coordinates.

Problem reports

If you send a correction or problem report, VowLedger stores the issue category, page, optional venue or vendor name, and the details you provide. Reports are used only to investigate and improve the service. Do not include contracts, payment details or other sensitive information.

Reports are retained for up to 12 months after resolution, then deleted or anonymized. Hosting and security providers may temporarily process technical information such as an IP address to deliver the request and prevent abuse.

Optional analytics

When analytics is configured, VowLedger asks for permission before loading Google Analytics. If allowed, it records broad product events such as a scan starting or completing, a venue search completing, result count and a non-identifying guest-count band.

Analytics is not sent the quote text, uploaded file, quoted total, venue name, street address, typed location or precise coordinates. Google may process device, browser and approximate-location information under the Google Privacy Policy. VowLedger disables Google Signals and advertising-personalization signals in its analytics configuration.

Browser storage

VowLedger uses local browser storage to remember your analytics choice and cache location results. This storage supports site functionality and is not used to build an advertising profile.

Hosting and security

VowLedger is hosted on Cloudflare infrastructure. Cloudflare processes ordinary request information needed to deliver and protect the site and may use essential security cookies when required. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

External links and future advertising

The site links to venue websites, maps, directories and research sources. Those services have their own privacy practices. VowLedger does not currently load advertising code. This policy and the consent controls will be updated before advertising technology is activated.

Policy updates

This policy is effective September 1, 2026. Material changes will be reflected on this page before new data practices are introduced.
